WAAY-TV, the ABC affiliate in Huntsville, Ala. suffered a flood in its studio yesterday after a construction crew accidentally broke a two-foot hole in the studio ceiling. A tarp was used as a quick fix but was no match for the severe thunderstorms that rolled through the area. According to staffers, lights, cameras and weather computer were all affected by the water. The station’s 6 p.m. newscast was produced from an alternate studio using only one camera.
