In addition to launching a new site for its soon-to-be-flagship program “Countdown,” Current has also rolled out a new logo.

The new logo features the channel’s name in bold type with a thick stroke on the top and bottom. A rippling effect creates gives the logo the appearance of being either a flag or rippling water, a clever nod to an alternative meaning of the channel’s name.

The logo replaces the LED-style logo the network had been using and in many ways creates a bolder, more clean look for the network that also takes emphasis away from the Internet-driven “pod” content model the network originally used.
