MSNBC moved “Hardball” last week to the secondary desk in the Washington, D.C. studio.

This desk is often used by “Morning Joe” when it broadcasts from Washington, and that’s about it.

Lately, “Hardball” has had a larger roundtable and this setup likely was a better fit, as the other desk didn’t appear comfortable for four people. This side of the studio also allows for more wide-shots, a plus, as the Washington studio is not as spacious as the New York setup.
