‘Today’ L3s go gray for ’50 Shades’

NBC’s “Today Show” turned its lower thirds gray in honor of “50 Shades of Grey” last week.

NBC News’ “Today Show” celebrated “50 Shades of Grey Week” last week and, for segments involving the popular novel and new movie, the show turned its normally cheerful blue and orange lower thirds to a somber grayscale (what else).

The “Today” and NBC peacock bug remained full color.
