WUSA-TV, the Tegna-owned CBS affiliate in Washington, D.C. has rebranded its morning news block as “Wake Up Washington.”

Along with the new name comes a new title card and lower thirds for the show.

The new look features colorful blocks with photography from around the district as well as a logotype with condensed typography and a “rising sun” icon, as well as the tail of the “p” in “Up” doubling as the “i” in “Washington.”

WUSA-TV debuted “Great Day Washington,” a locally produced talk and lifestyle show, back in September and the new name for its morning news seems to help align the two broadcasts a bit better.
