Österreichischer Rundfunk, the Austrian network better known as ORF, has created a elegant, surreal look for its coverage of the 2016 Olympics.
The network uses a large span of windows from the upstairs space it shares with Switzerland’s SRF (Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen) on Ipanema beach in the “Rio Media Center.”
The wall, meanwhile, is surrounded by a variety of organic shapes that are dramatically lit in a variety of configurations and sporting the yellow, blue and green palette of the Brazilian flag.
The set’s anchor desk, meanwhile, uses bold yellow horizontal slats to provide structure in front of the internally lit portion.
