KYTV
Also from FX Design Group, the set for KYTV in Springfield, Missouri, looks to its natural surroundings for inspiration while still maintaining a clean and modern look.
The set’s light stacked stonework and darker wood accents are combined with clean, backlit surfaces and video panels to create a mix of both rustic and contemporary looks.
Chicago Red Eye/Chicago Magazine
The set for Chicago Red Eye and Chicago Magazine, created by Provost Studio, not only incorporates local architecture, but offers two unique looks.
The base of the set is a row of three loft-style doors and faux brick walls, both of which draw inspiration from the city’s buildings.
For Chicago Magazine productions, a sleek white wall can be moved into place to give the set the feel of an updated loft space.
For Red Eye, however, the more of the exposed brick wall remains visible for a grittier loft look.
An outline of the city’s street grid appears on the faux weather brick.
Both setups also make use of framed printed of city landmarks, while the set also features changeable logo gobos for additional branding.
