‘NBC Nightly News’
“NBC Nightly News” used the branding “Concert Terror” instead of the “Terror in Manchester” name the “Today Show” used earlier in the day.
NBC’s show opened with the logotype, set in a narrow typeface, in the lower left of the screen with a transparent rendering of British flag framing it.
During the tease, the “Concert Terror” logotype alternated with the “Nightly News” logo.
Tuesday’s edition used the broadcast’s normal opening with the 3D rendering of New York City, but replaced the voiceover indicating anchor Lester Holt was originating the special edition from England.
During the show, numerous photographs, fact boxes and timelines were shown against a red and black background that featured imagery from the scene of the attack overlaid with a pattern of blurred dots.
