‘On the Record’
Before MSNBC, Van Susteren hosted the similarly named “On the Record” on Fox from 2012 to 2016 which, in turn, went through two distict looks.
The original look featured a blue background with dot pattern and red accents and the quirky typeface Insignia. In this design, the word “Record” was emphasized and the host’s name was stylized with “w/” before it.
The second version significantly modernized the look, moving to a narrow sans serif typeface for the word “Record,” which also was moved inside a rounded rectangle. The rest of the text was switched to a typeface with a subtle serif with similarities to the Copperplate font, perhaps a subtle typographic nod to Van Susteren’s legal background (interestingly, the font used also has similar strokes to Friz Quadrata, popularly known as the “Law & Order” font).
‘The Point w/ Greta Van Susteren’
Prior to her time at Fox, Van Susteren anchored for CNN since the mid-1990s.
Before departing, Van Susteren hosted “The Point w/ Greta Van Susteren.” Its cancellation after about a year led to her departure to Fox News.
