‘ABC World News Tonight’
Over on ABC, “World News Tonight” weekend anchor Tom Llamas anchored his network’s coverage.
The show opened with a “special edition” voiceover and, like CBS, also dedicated its entire tease to Harvey. During the headlines open, ABC used, in its typical verbose fashion, a logotype reading “Disaster in Texas: Flooding Catastrophe.”
Llamas, who anchored from in front of a flooded street with vehicles visible behind him, was also accompanied with a sidebar-style graphic with key facts.
