Sky News‘ “Glass Box” Studio 21 was, quite literally, an “out-of-the-box” lighting design challenge for Jago Design and its lighting team. While the actual scenery was limited to a large video wall and anchor desk with integrated lighting, the set uses the atrium of a working office building as its background, meaning it has to account for natural light, changing lighting conditions, and a mix of architectural materials, not to mention avoiding reflections on the massive glass panels that are shot using ceiling-mounted robotic cameras that provide a nearly limitless number of angles.
