CNN, which also used “The Royal Wedding” branding, opted for a bronze-toned color that seems like it could be a sort of blending between gold and the network’s trademark red.
The network’s logotype, featuring a sans serif typeface with a script “R,” was enclosed in a hexagon shape — somewhat indicative of a princess cut diamond — with bronze edges. The angled look was carried through to most lower third elements, while the normal CNN bug was kept on screen throughout.
In addition to the bug, CNN also used a narrow strip that alternated between “The Royal Wedding” and “Prince Harry & Meghan Markle.”
CNN’s graphics also included a metallic toned textured filagree and floral pattern.
CNN also used a broadcast booth on one end of the Long Walk, with white flowers on either side of its window as well as bronze panels on the side walls that match the graphics along with a geometric carpet.
