The show’s logo and graphics featured blue, violets and gold accents with a thick, playful logotype that turns the “O” into a dial with needle — a nod to the “countdown” of the show’s limit of using 25 words or less.
The circular element is used in the show’s insert graphics to track the number of words, while rounded rectangles are used for a variety of other uses, including the words contestants are trying to guess.
In addition, the dial element is prominently displayed on the on-set video wall as a constant reminder of the show’s namesake word limit.
A pilot for “25 Words or Less” was originally shot without Vieira as host and asimplified version of the set, but she took over the role once the show was picked up for a test run.
The show is executive produced by former “Friends” star Lisa Kudrow and “Scandal” alum Dan Bucatinsky through their “Is or Isn’t Entertainment” banner.
