“CBS Evening News” took the bold step of putting a headline graphic reading “convicted felons” under a split screen of Manafort and Cohen.
After the show’s headlines segment, anchor Jeff Glor appeared on screen with photos of the duo along with the word “Guilty” in textured typography.
Glor then tied the two stories together with an extended voiceover as the show used a combination of the “walk and wander” and “video on video” techniques to showcase a series of Cohen’s photos before moving over, past a textured wall accented with CBS eye gobo, to another video wall showing shots of Manafort.
