Cable networks split coverage of two prominent deaths — McCain and Franklin

Fox, meanwhile, used the sliver element that’s part of the network’s standard graphics package, that matches the gray and gold “obituary graphic” look it uses.
The network continued to use a similar look for its coverage as the day went on.
In these versions of the graphics, largely shown in black and white with gold accents, the coverage was billed under the name “The Funeral of Aretha Franklin.”
