Networks travel to Thousand Oaks for shooting coverage

‘CBS Evening News‘ anchor Jeff Glor also anchored from near the massacre. The broadcast lead with the story, which was also featured prominently in its normal ‘headlines’ segment.

The network labeled its coverage as ‘Thousand Oaks Shooting’ but did not use the textured effect on the text as it often does.

CBS also paid tribute to the 12 victims with a fullscreen graphic — though five unidentified victims were represented by an image of a candle.
