CNN is using the logotype its documentary, named simply “Apollo 11,” used.

Fox, meanwhile, is marking the occasion with a clean and simple logotype and tagline “The 50th Anniversary.”

NASA TV’s branding for coverage is perhaps the most interesting namely because it also refers to the “next giant leap” — which, based on the imagery included inside the two “Os,” is landing on Mars.

The logo includes the word “Apollo” set in all caps with the moon inside one “O” and Mars in the other.

Meanwhile, an arched horizon slices through the lockup, doubling as the crossbar in the “A” and bottom portion of part of the “P.”

The number “50” is tacked on and intersects with the “O.”

This being NASA, it also appears there’s a hidden message in the logo — a portion of what appears to be the constellation Orion is visible surrounding the moon.

Most prominently featured is “Orion’s belt” — the three stars in a row under the “O.”

Orion is also the name of the spacecraft currently in development by NASA and the European Space Agency as a next generation spacecraft that may be used for future missions to Mars.
