ABC News, using Studio TV3, took advantage of the large LED floor to create data visualizations using a combination of real graphics fed to the video panels and elements layered on top, much like it did in 2018 when it built a temporary but similar version of the set.
ABC also used an effect where a proportional electoral college map appeared on the large curved video wall on one side of the studio and then the state boxes could “fly” off the video panel and onto the circular graphic on the LED floor, sometimes transforming to a geographical map.
ABC’s augmented reality graphics were created by its in-house creative team with real-time data from Astucemedia.
