CBS News is also using the title “Israel at War” as well and opted for a blue, white and red color scheme for its graphics.

CBS Mornings” shifted all of its LED video walls and ribbons to coordinating graphics for its Oct. 9, 2023 coverage. This includes faded backgrounds of bombed cities and explosions set inside of pieces of the CBS eye shapes used across the network.

A circle — though not at the proper scale to be considered part of the larger eye featured in the rest of the graphic — in the upper left of the primary video wall features a two-tier logotype that takes the basic layout of the Israeli flag and stretches it to the right, leaving the star to the far left.

“Israel” is placed inside the textured white horizontal stripe at the center of the flag, with a white box holding the words “at War” set in dark red in TT Norms.

Starting on the “CBS Evening News” Oct. 9, 2023, CBS shifted the look for its coverage to a blue and white look, likely inspired by the Israeli flag.

Background imagery continues to rely on cityscape images, some of it monochromatic and tinted blue or gray.

Billowing smoke also become a prominent visual element across the network.

The network also switched its “Israel at War” logotype to a condensed typeface with “Israel” in lighter text and “at War” should bolder.

This look is much more refined and feels a bit less alarmist.
