‘The Point’ looks pretty blunt

What happens with TV executives go channel surfing? They find a format they want to “test out.”

CNN is trying that this week with “(Get to) The Point.” The panel show takes some well known talent and sports anchors and put them in a line to talk about the stories most people care about, world peace, etc. Well, in this case, bacon.

With it only being a trial run, we’ll save our full feedback for when the show has a real set and graphics package. Right now, though, it’s pretty hashed together.

It’s almost as if last Friday they decided, “let’s try a new show Monday.” We’ll see if it lasts.
