KXAS-TV, the NBC O&O in Dallas has built an iOS app to mark the 50th anniversary of the John F. Kennedy Jr. assassination in its home city.
The app, titled “JFK 50” appears to only be available on Apple devices from the iTunes Store and gives users quick access to archival video from Nov. 22, 1963 and following days.
Included in those clips is footage obtained by a KXAS-TV engineer as the station aired live coverage of the president’s visit.
Also available is an interactive map of the president’s motorcade route and assassin Lee Harvey Oswald’s escape path, a timeline of events as access to related articles.
