NBC News‘ “Today Show” switched from its normal, fresh blue color in its lower thirds in favor of a darker and textured look for its coverage of the Charleston, S.C. church shooting.
Of course, “Today” along with many other shows, often changes up lower thirds for special coverage and has done so in the past, including these notable occasions:
- Pink to mark the birth of anchor Savannah Guthrie’s baby
- Gray for “50 Shades of Grey” week
- Green for “Green is Universal” week
