CBS News has opened a freshly renovated newsroom in New York City that creates a new open workspace for all of its programming.
Dubbed the “CBS News Hub,” the new workspace occupies the area formerly known as Studio 47, the longtime home of “CBS Evening News” before it moved to nearby Studio 57.
While in Studio 47, “Evening News” maintained a small working newsroom area behind the anchor desk, with the so-called glass-in “Fishbowl” workspace located just off it.

Now, with the Fishbowl gone, natural light floods in thanks to exterior windows.
Along one side of the News Hub, elements of the most recent “CBS Evening News” set remain, including the backlit header element and mezzanine balconies.
