The U.S. cable networks have all been using coronavirus data sidebars to showcase key statistics and data about the outbreak and effects on the world.

CNN is using its now trademark purple coronavirus branding.

The information in the sidebar changes occasionally but typically includes global and U.S. case and death counts. During select times the live feed of the current Dow Jones Industrial Average is inserted. At other times promos for the CNN website or special content fill the space — as well as program notes about what’s coming up.

MSNBC is using its blue and red look with confirmed cases and death counts for the U.S. and the world, with an additional space for a promo or other information.

Fox’s sidebar showcases U.S. and world figures but rotates between them and adds the increase (or in theory, decrease) of new cases using stock market inspired arrows — though red is colored red since unlike the upward arrow traditionally used in stock graphics, which can be inserted into the corner of the lower third.
